Do’s and Don’ts of Blogging

Do’s

Review your posts before publishing them: Very often when I read my blog post again, I find mistakes and have to go back and correct them.

Encourage Participation: Always try and involve your blog reader by encouraging them to participate in your blog through comments or introducing some kind of polls.

Comment on other blogs: This will help you know other Bloggers and in addition to this will help you with some traffic for your blog.

Regularly posting: Its important that you maintain a posting frequency and try and stick to it.

Just be yourself: Remember its your blog and it should reflect you. Write your views, be boring, be unpredictable but just be yourself.

Don’ts

Don’t copy: As mentioned earlier try and mention your views on your blog but if there is something that you have copied from some other blog or site don’t forget to give them the credit.

Ignoring Users: Never ignore your user, try and respond to all of them.

Don’t Promote site/products you are not sure of: Trust is something that takes time to build and you surely do not want your readers to loose it by reviewing some site and product that you are not sure of.

Add lot of widgets: Don’t add lot of widgets on your blog. This will increase the loading time of your blog and may get frustrating for your readers.

Don’t Give up: Blogging is not as easy as it seems to be. Its something that will take some time. Just take care of it, nurture it, feed it regularly and it will bear fruits. And for all these all you need is staying motivated. Remember when going gets tough, tough gets going.

Some Blogging Tips#1

Blogging is the latest fever that has caught my fellow employees. Here are some of the tips that will help them boost their blogs' user experience.

Make your Blog your own: Don’t bother or worry about what and how others writing on there blog. Blog the way you want to.

People like people: One of the basic reasons big Bloggers get big is because they always share any information from their own point of view. Its important that you show your readers that your blog is just not an information bot.

Make your blog post useful: Making a blog post that has just helped you or you have found it very useful is good, but before that you need to answer some questions like How is it useful? Why did you like it? And how can readers take what you have just written and apply that in their situation.

Make your blog interactive: In your blog all the conversation has to be started by you but you will also have to make sure that it is continued by your readers. Try and engage people to talk about your blog. Once that is done, you can take the back sit and listen to them.

Have Fun: You cannot come out with your best if you are not having fun in doing it, and Blogging is no different. Have Fun in what ever you do with your blog.
